It's excellent base for sightseeing and exploring York.

Smooth check-in, en suite and well heated rooms with a lovely fresh cooked breakfast. Favourable and lovely location in the very quiet area, near a quiet residential area and the river walk and the main tourist attractions.

The hotel with stocked and budget rooms, in a wonderful area, near the river where you could walk into the centre in 10 minutes. Marvellous breakfast with plenty of choices. Easy check in and late check out. Everything excellent. Accommodating staff and magnificent location, perfect for me. Lovely overall experience.

easy strolls to york minster and the national railway museum

From my stay, I loved that it was just a short walk along the river to York Minster and the National Railway Museum. The staff were really friendly and provided great walking tips that added to my experience.

I had a wonderful stay! The breakfast was like a feast, with tons of choices, and served quickly. My room had lovely touches like great coffee and biscuits! I'd stay here again without a doubt.

We visited a local museum and strolled through beautiful gardens. The staff were super cute, and the breakfast was delicious. Great location near everything. Just a heads up, parking is limited, so arrive early if you can!

The only downside was the bed comfort. It was a bit noisy and uncomfortable with a gap that kept losing pillows.

Oh, the breakfast at St Marys is a right treat! I couldn't get enough of the freshly cooked full English, and the granola options were great. Plus, it's a stone's throw from some cracking eateries like Bettys Café and The Star Inn the City-perfect for a foodie like me! The staff were as lovely as a sunny day in York.

A smidgen noisy with the window open, and the shower was a bit of a struggle with drainage. The decor could use a cheeky refresh, too. Just a couple of quirks, but nothing that soured my visit in the least!

Just a top selection for a short staycation in York with fantastic value for money. The room was quite cozy and surprisingly affordable for its location. Make sure to check the parking situation beforehand.
